Yesterday's blog post discusses the role of women in animal agriculture and their potential to be a powerful force in cellular agriculture. It reminded me that farming exploits female animals at a much higher rate than it does males. Just think, a female cow is repeatedly impregnated to continuously produce milk during its life before slaughter, and female chickens have been bred to produce 250-300 eggs a year when they should only be producing 10-15. So it seems like no surprise that farming is a male-dominated field. Cellular agriculture is the perfect opportunity for women to take their power back by ending the exploitation of females in farming.

Farming relies on the exploitation of female animals, so it's no wonder women face inequality in the workplace.

Good point, Sam. Exploitations of females clearly reaches across the species barrier!
